Lane Closures for Pennsylvania Avenue Bridge Over Rock Creek Parkway

Closures will begin Thursday morning, weather permitting.

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close one lane of the Pennsylvania Avenue Bridge over Rock Creek Parkway during off-peak hours beginning today, weather permitting. DDOT is conducting repairs and bridge preservation activities and expects to finish on or before Feb. 15, according to a press release.

Beginning after Thursday's morning rush hour DDOT will close one lane of westbound traffic over the bridge during off-peak hours. Work will cease before the evening rush hour. Daily work hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The lane closures are temporary and will not be installed until the completion of the morning rush hour and will be removed before the start of the evening rush hour.
