Lane Closures on Whitehurst, Rock Creek

Bridge and tunnel inspections impact area roads.

For the next two weeks drivers should expect lane closures on area roads and bridges, including Whitehurst Freeway and Rock Creek Parkway. The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is inspecting bridges and tunnels throughout D.C. beginning Monday and ending Sept. 28.

Work is scheduled to be done Monday through Friday during off-peak hours between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. DDOT will close one lane at a time in inspection areas so traffic will still be able to get through.
