Secretary Hillary Clinton to Speak at Georgetown University Monday

Clinton to deliver 'major' address on women, peace and security.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will offer a speech on America's efforts to support women's participation in peace and security, Monday at Georgetown University. Clinton will speak in Gaston Hall at 2:30 p.m.

According to the event notice, she will address the U.S. government's new "plans to better protect women from conflict-related violence and promote women’s leadership and perspectives in all aspects of conflict prevention, resolution, relief and recovery."

The uncertainty over North Korea following Kim Jong Il's death will not impact the previously scheduled speech, according to Georgetown University's office of communications.
