Readers' Choice Winner: Dumbarton House
Dumbarton House won the 2012 title of best venue for hosting an event or party.
With so many great venues like embassies and historic homes to choose from, Georgetowners are never at a loss for an event or party venue. The 2012 Readers' Choice winner for "Best Venue for Hosting Events and Parties" is .
"Dumbarton House is absolutely thrilled to receive this recognition from our neighbors and Georgetown Patch readers, thank you!" Missy Hoggan Groppel, the event manager, said.
The federal-style home at 2715 Q St. is owned and operated by the National Society of The Colonial Dames of America.

"We are delighted that we continue to be discovered and appreciated as a great events space and historic house museum with many worthwhile public events and activities," Groppel added.
