Murder Victim Viola Drath's Georgetown Home is For Sale

Viola Drath was murdered in her Q Street NW home in August 2011.

Just shy of two years after Viola Drath was murdered in her Georgetown home, her Q Street house is on the market.

The three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath home at 3206 Q St. NW is listed for $995,000 by neighbor and realtor Nancy Taylor Bubes of Washington Fine Properties.

The home is priced to sell, asking several hundred thousand dollars less than the $1,321,917 average sale price last month for a three-bedroom attached townhouse in the 20007 Zip code, according to data from RealEstate Business Intelligence, LLC

A neighboring property sold in Oct. 2012 for $1,435,000. That home, 3204 Q St. NW had four bedrooms, three-and-a half baths and about 1,300 more square feet of space.

There's an open house from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, July 14.

The former crime scene has been staged with modern furniture and the once cream exterior has been repainted blue.

Drath was found dead on her bathroom floor and her death was later classified as a homicide. Her husband, Albrecht Muth, is charged with first degree murder and is awaiting trial, scheduled to begin in December
