D.C. Schools Closed Monday for Hurricane Sandy

Hurricane Sandy's arrival closes D.C. Public Schools and cancels after-school programs Oct. 29.

D.C. Public Schools will be closed Monday, in preparation for the looming threat of Hurricane Sandy.

Hyde-Addison Elementary will hold make-up picture day Tuesday, Oct. 30.

"Due to the expected arrival of Hurricane Sandy, DC Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, October 29.   All after school programs and athletic activities are cancelled.

Principals, teachers and school based staff who are not essential personnel do not report to school tomorrow.

Central staff and essential school based personal should refer to the DCPS website for updates about whether they will be required to report to work."
