"Hooray for History!" A Quiz Night Benefit!

The Dumbarton House, The National History Bowl and National History Bee are pleased to announce a new and truly unique partnered event:  A history-themed pub quiz-style competition!

 

Join David Madden, a 19-day Jeopardy! champion and the founder of The National History Bee and Bowl; Brad Rutter, the winner of Jeopardy!s Ultimate tournament of Champions; and Bob Harris, the author of the humorous Jeopardy!memoir Prisoner of Trebekistan, for a team competition to test your history smarts in the setting of a circa 1800 Federal period mansion on the heights of Georgetown.

The entry fee includes:

- two glasses at the white wine bar

-homemade desserts

-participation in the quiz

-prizes for the winners 

 

Proceeds will equally benefit Dumbarton House and prizes at the inaugural National Championships of the National History Bowl and the National History Bee (at which high school students from around the USA will compete in Washington April 16-17).

 

Doors will open at 7:30pm with the quiz fun beginning at 8pm, the wine bar will be open until 9:30pm, and gaming will last until 10pm. Dress is business casual. 2-hour street parking is available on 28th Street, between Q and R Streets, NW.
