Free Classes for the Furloughed

A Georgetown University school is offering management and other courses for free to people out of work due to the government shutdown.

The Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies is offering six free courses to furloughed federal workers.

Faculty members put together a list of courses at a recent retreat when school Dean Walter Rankin realized how many of them knew someone affected by the government shutdown, Rankin told The Washington Post.

Three courses deal with management skills along with “Global Trends in International Migration,” healthcare course “Patient Navigation” and a media course.
