GU Increases Neighborhood Patrols During Four-Day Study Break

Helpline stays open 24-7.

Georgetown University announced that more university staff and private security officers will be patrolling West Georgetown and Burleith at night from Dec. 8 to Dec. 10.

Friday was the last day of classes for Georgetown University students and finals week begins on Dec. 11. 

During the four-day study break, the Student Neighborhood Assistance Program will operate the added patrols and continue to respond to the Georgetown University Community Hotline 24 hours per day, the university said.

Metropolitan Police will be sent if necessary, the university said.
