Georgetown University Preps for Graduation

Commencement ceremonies start on Thursday.

In a few short days, the streets of our peaceful little neighborhood will be flooded with parents, cousins, girlfriends, godparents, grandparents and moving trucks.

That's right, folks. graduation is upon us.

A handy schedule of events from Thursday through Sunday is available on the University's website. Diplomas will be awarded to graduating students in various graduate and undergraduate programs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Parking will be tight this coming weekend. If you're traveling from out of town, GU recommends taking a taxi to the school from your hotel or using the Metro. Stop at either Dupont Circle (Red Line) or Rosslyn (Blue/Orange Line) and free Georgetown University shuttle buses will transport Metro riders to the school.

More travel and parking tips are available online, as well as instructions for guests with disabilities.
