I really love Valentine’s Day. I get a lot of candy on Valentine’s Day and I get to feel appreciated. I also love Valentine’s Day because it just happens to be my mother’s birthday. I am super fond of Valentine’s Day.

First of all, I get to eat plenty of candy. Candy is one of my favorite sweets. And on Valentine’s Day, I get a huge mound of candy. I get it from my mom, my dad, and friends and family. I am so glad that on Valentine’s Day I can get so much candy.

Then on Valentine’s Day I can feel loved. This is my absolute favorite part about Valentine’s Day. Feeling cared for is the best feeling in the world. I am so grateful for everything, and on Valen- tine’s Day I am showed that everybody appreciates me too. Getting a card from a loved one is the best gift that anybody could give me. I am so glad people love me.

Lastly, my mom’s birthday just happens to fall on Valentine’s Day. Weird isn’t it? I can show my mom all the love in the world. I can be the best daughter ever. I can even give her my heart in a card. I love that my mother’s birthday is on Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s Day is so amazing in different ways. First I get so many chocolates and candy (may- be just less than at Halloween). And then I can be shown all the care and love in the world from loved ones. And lastly, it’s my brilliant mother’s birthday. Hooray for Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. First, I love the candy and Valentines I get from classmates at school. Second, there are many Valentine’s Day sales at stores. Third, everyone is excited and joyful. In my opinion this makes Valentine’s Day one of the best holidays of the year.

The highlight of Valentine’s Day is when all our classmates hand out their Valentines to everyone. I think my Valentines are some of the best ones, and all the other kids seem to like my Valentines too. My Valentines are handmade, and I usually include candy in each one. I also receive candy from other kids in the class, and it is yummy in my tummy.

Recently, I have been more interested in the many sales at stores rather than the candy since I cannot eat most of the candy because of my braces. Since my birthday is in January I wait to spend my birthday money on Valentine’s Day because of all the sales. I like to get video games that I can play on my Wii – like Super Mario or Wii Sports Resort. In addition to Valentine’s Day sales there are also President’s Day sales, so there are lots of opportunities to get good deals.

Another good thing about Valentine’s Day is that everyone is joyful. At school, everyone has a smile on their faces and looks forward to Valentine’s Day candy. Sometimes the classrooms are decorated with Valentine’s Day decorations, making everything even more cheery. With such great decorations and so many happy people it is easy to get excited about Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s Day is the best. There is candy for everyone, sales in the stores, and happy kids! With all this what’s not to like about Valentine’s Day? Maybe when I am older Valentine’s Day will have a different meaning because I will have a girlfriend.
