Here Comes the Bridal Boutique...Georgetown Cafe Building Sold

Washington Business Journal reports that building's new owner will renovate it and move current Wisconsin Avenue bridal business in.

The former Georgetown Cafe building has been sold for $2.1 million to a new owner, who plans to turn the building into a bridal boutique, according to a report today (Monday) by Washington Business Journal.

Georgetown Cafe was in the location, at 1623 Wisconsin Ave. NW, for quite some time before it closed. Here's a description of it from its listing on Patch:

Georgetown Cafe has been at this location for 30 years. It's open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and offers a wide variety of diner-style eats. For those who are hungry and in a hurry, Georgetown Cafe is the place to go.

The new owner of the building is Carine Kraweic, who will be moving her current business Carine's Bridal Atelier at 1726 Wisconsin Ave., into the new building, some time in the winter months after renovations, according to WBJ.
