The Georgetown Hoyas saw a bit of their future Wednesday, and the future is the Cincinnati Bearcats.
The Bearcats defeated Providence on Wednesday, 61-44, in the second round of the Big East men's basketball tournament, which puts them in front of No. 1-seed Georgetown at noon Thursday at Madison Square Garden -- and on ESPN.
In the second afternoon game Wednesday, Syracuse came back to defeat Seton Hall, 75-63, and Villanova defeated St. John's, 66-53.

The Hoyas are picked as the runnerup in most forums. Louisville is favored, though that feeling's far from unanimous -- especially in Georgetown. Louisville receives the biggest Vegas odds at +140. Georgetown is second at +200, while Syracuse is a distant third at +350, according to SB Nation.
