UPDATED: Big East Tournament: Here Comes Your 2013 Championship Game

In every way but the final score, Saturday's final game ever between Syracuse and Georgetown as members of the Big East went exactly as it should have: hard fouls, battles under the boards, bodies flying, the winner uncertain until the last second -- of overtime.

But that final score: Syracuse 58, Georgetown 55.

What a difference six days make.

Less than one week after blowing out Syracuse in their Big East regular-season finale, the Orangemen bounced back Friday, defeating Georgetown in a thrilling semi-final final game between the two rivals, sending Syracuse to the Big East Championship Game.

The Big East men's basketball tournament 2013 Championship now features Syracuse and top-seed Louisville.

The Hoyas drubbed of the Orangemen last week, their second victory in as many regular-season matchups. But Syracuse, playing its last Big East tournament before jumping to the ACC, find themselves in Saturday's Championship.

The Hoyas had their chances. Down by as many as 12 points, Georgetown never led in the second half but managed to tie it with 7 seconds left in regulation. They were down 58-55 with 14 seconds left in overtime and with the ball, but threw it away with 3 seconds left, and a rivalry -- in its current form, anyway -- was over.

The Hoyas were picked as the runner-up in most forums. Louisville has been favored, receiving the biggest Vegas odds at +140.
