NCAA Basketball Final, Big East: Georgetown v. Villanova

Not the kind of game the Hoyas hoped to have heading toward March Madness,

No. 5 Georgetown was hoping for a solid tuneup Wednesday as the regular season winds down and March Madness approaches. Villanova had other ideas, stalling the Georgetown engine that had driven to 11 straight victories before Wednesday's Big East matchup.

The Wildcats outplayed the Hoyas in every department, including the only one that really matters, the final scoring: Villanova 67, Georgetown 57.

The Hoyas end the regular season Saturday against Syracuse and then wait for Selection Sunday on March 17 to find out their seeding in the NCAA Basketball Tournament.
