Report: Nationals Park Among Most Expensive for Families

The Washington Nationals have the seventh-highest Fan Cost Index, according to Team Marketing Report.

As if raising a family in the D.C. area was not expensive enough—between housing prices and childcare costs—now the Washington Nationals rank seventh highest in Fan Cost Index, or the cost of seeing a game with two adults and two children.

The Fan Cost Index (FCI), a trademark of Team Marketing Report, includes two adult average-price tickets, two child average-price tickets, four small soft drinks, two small beers, four hot dogs, two programs, parking and two adult-size caps.

At Nationals Park, that sets a family back $236.46, up 19.3 percent from last year, according to the report.
