Road Closures: 2013 Annual Rock N Roll USA Marathon and Half Marathon

The 2013 Annual Rock N Roll USA Marathon and Half Marathon will take over DC Saturday, closing down streets, as an estimated 30,000 runners put one foot in front of the other until they reach either 13.1 or 26.2 miles.

Some street closures, especially near the start and finish lines will begin at early as midnight Friday. Rock Creek Parkway will be closed from about 6 a.m. to about 10:45 a.m., including the section adjacent to Georgetown.

Friday morning there was a tent on a grassy patch at the base of the P Street ramp from Rock Creek Parkway. According to the race map, there will be a band stage at this location.

According to DDOT, "All streets affected by this event are expected to be reopened as early as 9:30 a.m., and no later than 2 p.m."
