Jacob Lawrence, a 2nd-Grader in Mr. Brian O'Beirne's class, provided a great example to all this week by selflessly giving $100 of his own money to the Pennies for Patients fundraiser going on at the school this month. The program has been run by The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society since 1994 and has raised millions of dollars to fight those diseases.
From what I understand, Jacob was saving the money for a toy but decided that the children in need came first.
Here's to you Jacob!!! OUTSTANDING!
