Fourth of July Parade and Final Concert in Rose Park

The final CAG summer concert is Sunday, starting at 5 p.m.

The 11th annual Citizens Association of Georgetown Concerts in the Park series will come to a close Sunday with great fanfare, including a patriotic parade and a free concert. The concert begins at 5 p.m. Sunday.

One of the event organizers, Hannah Isles, writes:

"Don your red, white and blue early this year and come to ROSE PARK from 5 to 6:30 prepared to decorate your bike, trike, wagon or pet for this lively Independence Day celebration and patriotic parade. Concert attendees will enjoy the music of Max Impact performing Rock, R & B and Country music favorites as well as patriotic tunes and some original music!"

There will be plenty of sweets whether it's the free cupcakes from Sprinkles or free ice cream from Haagen Dazs. Additionally, the Surfside food-truck will be selling more dinner-appropriate items.

The parade will take place at the mid-point of the concert and will be "emceed" by Fox News TV personality and Georgetown resident, Griff Jenkins.

Isles writes, "We are determined that the June 30th Independence Day celebration will be a grand finale!  Hope to see you there!"
