Georgetown Pools Open Through Labor Day
Francis, Jelleff and Volta pools will remain open through Labor Day weekend.
Though pools across the District will begin closing for the season by mid-August, three Ward 2 pools will remain open through Labor Day Weekend. They will close Monday, Sept. 3.
Francis Pool (2500 N St., NW), (3265 S St., NW), and (1555 34th St., NW) will operate under normal weekday and weekend hours through Labor Day weekend.
“I appreciate the assistance of DPR in helping to secure an extended pool season for these Ward 2 pools,” said Councilman Jack Evans in a press release. “City amenities such as swimming pools should be available to District residents for the entire summer and with the recent high temperatures, it is more important than ever that we provide options for cooling off.”
