Jane Austen Film Fest Continues Tonight at Dumbarton House

'Emma' will be the featured film July 11 as part of the Long & Foster Jane Austen Film Festival.

The second film showing in the summer Jane Austen Film Fest at (2715 Q St., NW) will be "Emma" tonight (July 11). The grounds open at 7 p.m. and the film begins around 8:30 p.m.

“This is our first outdoor film festival at Dumbarton House and it is enjoying such great success,” said Karen Daly, executive director of Dumbarton House, in a prepared statement.

July 25 will be the third and final film in the series, "Pride and Predjudice." According to a press release, a special guest will make an appearance and sign books:

"Sandy Lerner, co-founder of Cisco Systems; founder of Urban Decay cosmetics; and founder of Ayrshire Farm, a certified organic, certified humane farm of heritage breeds located in Virginia, recently released her novel Second Impressions, a sequel to Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice."
