Urban Beekeeping Is On the Ropes

Some in the District regulatory environment have begun interpreting its Department of Health regulations to include the previously-loved honeybee in its extinguish/destroy/exclude policy and enforcing with bee-police their narrow interpretation of the contradictory regs.  Support for urban beekeeping can be demonstrated at the Pollinators Week Celebration on 12th and Jefferson SW at the USDA People's Garden Friday between 10 and 2.  By the way, this is Kaitlin Miller, my dad's protoge, as his attention has been required elsewhere.  See the attached flyer:
