New Water Taxi Connects National Mall to Georgetown
Georgetowners will be able to take a water taxi to or from the National Mall.
Residents and tourists alike will now be able to take a river taxi on the Potomac River to travel between Georgetown and the National Mall, courtesy of a new service from the Potomac Riverboat Company.
The new water taxi transportation service departs the National Mall, connecting to Georgetown and to National Harbor.
The route will run Tuesdays through Sundays. There will be no Monday service, except for holidays.
The new water taxi, the Miss Sophie, is a custom-built vessel with a capacity of 49.
Tickets range from $5 to $30 depending on which leg of the route the ticket is for and whether it is for a round trip.

- The National Mall: West Basin and Ohio Drives, SW
- Washington Harbour in Georgetown: 31st and K streets, NW
- National Harbor: 145 National Plaza National Harbor, Md.
