Volta Park Oktoberfest Stop by Volta Park Sunday, Oct. 6th from 3 to 6 p.m. for an Oktoberfest-themed celebration with food, face painting, pumpkin decorating, and a live band. Stop by starting at 2 p.m. for the East vs. West Village Softball game.

Final Community Engagement Meeting on Georgetown 2028: Join the discussion on the future of Georgetown's business district at the final Community Engagement Meeting on Thursday, Oct. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. doors open at 5:30 p.m. Light food and refreshments will be provided. RSVP to: georgetown2028@georgetowndc.com.

Georgetown University Master Planning 201 Sessions: Want to know more about what Georgetown is doing with its master plan? Learn more and provide feedback on the plans for the future of the campus, from housing, to parking and more. Two Planning 201 sessions will take place Wednesday in the Rafik B. Hariri Building, one at 9 a.m. another at 7 p.m.

October Advisory Neighborhood Commission Meeting: Monday night, the Georgetown Advisory Neighborhood Commission will meet to discuss a range of issues impacting residents and businesses. See the agenda here.  Prior to the meeting, at 6 p.m. there will be a public roundtable discussion about historic preservation in the Georgetown Historic District. The meeting will start once the roundtable wraps up. Meetings are held at Georgetown Visitation School, 35th and Volta Place, NW.

Georgetown Village Fall Fundraiser: Help support Georgetown's aging-in-place organization at its Fall Festival Fundraiser. Alan and Nancy Bubes will host a cocktail buffet at their home at the corner of 31st and Q Streets, NW starting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets are available online
