Fashion Night Out is Out; FAD Georgetown is In: Full Schedule

For the past three Septembers, Fashion Night Out in Georgetown was the local version of one of hundreds of similar events held across the country. Not this year.

Starting Thursday, though, the Georgetown Business Improvement District is holding an event that's similar — only not really.

Called FAD Georgetown, the event will include about 80 participants, fewer than took part in Fashion Night Out. And FAD, unlike FNO, will offer discounts.

Friday is being billed as FAD Fashion Shopping Night, taking place from 6 p.m. till 10 p.m.

Here's the description from the Georgetown Business Improvement District:

Celebrate style during FAD Fashion, as over 40 stores host events showcasing the best of fall fashion. Trendsetters can strike a pose at pop-up red carpet events, enjoy live public art presentations from No Kings Collective at the FAD Fashion Lounge at PNC Bank and ride the FAD “eCruiser” to your favorite shopping destinations.

And Saturday is, "FAD Art & Design," with this description:

Kick off National Design Week with a day full of art and design events at more than 25 Georgetown art galleries, home furnishings stores and design showrooms from Book Hill to Wisconsin Avenue and M Street to Cady’s Alley.
