Traffic Alert: Washington Road Closures for Janney 5K Run, Jingle All the Way 8K

The Metropolitan Police Department would like to inform the public and members of the media about street closures in connection with the Janney 5K Fun Run and Jingle All the Way 8K scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2013 and Sunday, December 8, 2013, respectively.

Janney 5K Fun Run:

The event is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2013. The streets will be closed from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. The staging area will be on Albemarle Street, NW between Wisconsin Avenue, NW and 42nd Street, NW

Race Route:

The Race start time will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at which time the roadways mentioned below will be closed to traffic.

West on Albemarle Street, NW towards 42nd Street, NW
South on 42nd Street, NW to Van Ness Street, NW
West on Van Ness Street, NW to 46th Street, NW
North on 46th Street, NW to Albemarle Street, NW
West on Albemarle Street, NW to the 4900 block of Albemarle Street, NW then turn around
East on Albemarle Street, NW to 46th Street, NW
South on 46th Street, NW to Van Ness Street, NW
East on Van Ness Street, NW to 42nd Street, NW
North on 42nd Street, NW to Yuma Street, NW
East on Yuma Street, NW to the finish line in the rear of the school

• East on D Street, NW to Delaware Avenue, NW

• U-turn at Columbus Circle, NW
• South on First Street to the parking lot
• U-Turn at the parking lot
