Police Investigating Viola Drath's Death as a Homicide

Updated 7:30 p.m. Police are investigating the death of Viola Herms Drath, 91, in Georgetown. According to a news release from the Metropolitan Police Department, her death is being investigated as a homicide after an autopsy Saturday. On Friday, Drath’s second husband, Albrecht Gero Muth, sent an email to friends and neighbors about his wife's passing. He wrote: I'm sad to advise that my dear wife of nearly 25 years passed away last night. Funeral arrangements are pending. Police have told The Washington Post that they have not made any arrests yet in the case.
