The armored car robbery on Wisconsin Avenue on Sept. 30, 2010 was the last in a spike for the 2010 fiscal year, making the Washington, D.C. region the top in the country for such crimes. The Georgetown incident involved armed, masked men robbing an armored car parked across from the BB&T bank and escaping with money. A year later, the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) Washington Field Office (WFO) is still looking for two suspects wanted in that robbery and likely a third who drove a vehicle away from the scene, according to Lindsay Godwin, a public affairs specialist at WFO.
