Newly opened Bandolero at 3241 M St. held a celebration Tuesday night, welcoming local foodies and reporters to scope out Top Chef star Mike Isabella's new Mexican-style restaurant. Mike Isabella is opening a pop-up version of the restaurant in Cleveland Park.
Unable to open a space quickly at the former Hook location in Georgetown, celebrity chef Mike Isabella plans to open Bandolero temporarily at the Tackle Box restaurant in Cleveland Park, a spokeswoman for Graffiato confirmed Monday. The Mexican-themed restaurant is the first of two new trendy spots Isabella plans to unveil this year. The opening at the Hook space has been delayed by construction work there, but that site remains the ultimate destination for Bandolero.
