Chevy Chase's Range Now Serving Lunch

Bryan Voltaggio's restaurant now serves lunch as well as dinner, seven days a week, but reservations still are recommended for both meals.

Range isn't just a dinner destination anymore. Starting this week, Range—celebrity chef Bryan Voltaggio's new restaurant, which opened in the Chevy Chase Pavilion last December—is open for lunch, too. Reservations still are recommended, and may be made online at www.voltrange.com or by calling Range at 202-803-8020, according to a restaurant news statement. The lunch menu is mostly the same as the dinner menu, with the addition of a burger and a $30 set-price lunch option, according to the restaurant.  Range now is open Sundays through Thursdays, from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays, from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., at the newly renovated Chevy Chase Pavilion (5335 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Washington, DC). DC Resident-Turned-Farmer Brings CSA to Georgetown

Big White Barn Produce, a Frederick, Md.-based farm, will bring locally grown produce to Georgetown for 20 weeks starting this spring.

Though Steve Goertemiller once lived on Q Street NW just across the bridge from Georgetown, now he and his wife run a farm in Frederick, Md. This year Goertemiller is bringing a taste of his new home nearer to the taste of his old home by setting up a community supported agriculture (CSA) site in Georgetown. "We've always had inquiries about Georgetown and never really had a good place to do a [CSA] drop," Goertemiller told Patch. Until now. A friend of the couple recently returned to his 35th Street home after living out of town for a few years. Range: Photos of the Food

Feast your eyes on these photos of the food at Range, celebrity chef Bryan Voltaggio's new restaurant in the Chevy Chase Pavilion.

Range—celebrity chef Bryan Voltaggio's newest restaurant—opened on Dec. 18 in the newly renovated Chevy Chase Pavilion. Range's menu is meat-centric, offering menu items such as potted foie gras, rabbit, scrapple, pork shanks and cheeks, beef marrow bones, veal heart, veal sweetbreads and whole roasted rabbit, "hunter style." Shellfish options include oysters, shrimp, crabs and lobster. Fish dishes include rockfish and black cod with barbecued hazelnuts. Dishes are prepared in the restaurant's open kitchen. The restaurant also makes its own breads, pizzas, pastas and candies. Pizza chef Edan MacQuaid has worked in many well-known pizza kitchens in the Washington, DC, area. Range's Pizza Chef Is Well-Known in DC Kitchens

Eater DC reports that the restaurant's pizza chef is Edan MacQuaid, who has made pizzas at Pizzeria Paradiso, 2Amys, Local 16, Graffiato, Pizzeria Orso, Red Rocks and Ardeo + Bardeo.

Range isn't all about meat. It's got good pizza covered, too. Eater DC reported that the restaurant's pizza chef is Edan MacQuaid, "who most recently made pies at Local 16 [1602 U St. NW, Washington, DC] and has worked in just about every popular pizza joint in town," Eater DC added. "An Eater writer spotted the cook at [Range] ... over the weekend and confirmed the move," Eater DC added. Gourmands and meat lovers, rejoice. Range—celebrity chef Bryan Voltaggio's newest restaurant—is set to open in the newly renovated Chevy Chase Pavilion Dec. 18. Range's menu is meat-centric, offering menu items such as potted foie gras, rabbit, scrapple, pork shanks and cheeks, beef marrow bones, veal heart, veal sweetbreads and whole roasted rabbit, "hunter style." Shellfish options include oysters, shrimp, crabs and lobster. Fish dishes include rockfish and black cod with barbecued hazelnuts. But the less adventurous needn't worry. Voltaggio to Provide 'Small Plates' to Cigar Lounge

Civil Lounge in the Chevy Chase Pavilion will feature cigars and spirits, as well as small plates from the kitchen of Bryan Voltaggio's neighboring Range restaurant.
