The new Georgetown hotel will offer pilates appointments for guests.
The Capella Georgetown Hotel has partnered with Dupont-based Fuse Pilates so guests can get a work out in either in the comfort of their room or on a nice day on the rooftop, according to TravelPulse.com. TravelPulse.com reports, "Guests may choose to work out in their room with fully equipped Pilates’ gear and a dedicated instructor provided by Fuse. Guests also have the option of arranging workout sessions on the hotel’s rooftop space with views of the Potomac River, The Kennedy Center, Washington Monument and more." A new hotel at 1050 31st St. NW is accepting reservations starting March 22.
The Capella Hotel Georgetown is now officially accepting reservations for stays starting March 22 and onward. Most recently the hotel had expected to open April 1. The hotel at 1050 31st St. NW is the first Capella brand hotel in the District. The Grill Room and the Rye Bar, the hotel restaurant and bar respectively, will both also open March 22. Reservations are now being accepted for lunch and on. The 70-seat Grill Room includes C&O Canal-side dining. Swedish Chef Jakob Esko comes to the Capella Georgetown from Capella Singapore and by way of Michelin–Star Restaurant ‘Sihlhalde’ in Zurich. The new hotel coming to 1050 31st St. NW, the Capella Georgetown, is on its way to a full renovation at the hands of HITT Construction. The owners — Castleton Hotel Partners LLC — hope to open the 48-room boutique Capella Georgetown hotel (managed by Horst Schulze and Capella Hotel Group) along the C&O Canal in time for the 2013 Presidential Inauguration. The developers behind The Capella Georgetown have secured necessary financing and can now begin construction, possibly delivering the planned boutique hotel at 1050 31st St. by January 2013. The new hotel will emerge from the makeover of an existing five-story, free-standing commercial building on 31st Street, next to the C&O Canal.
