Georgetown Draws New Businesses

There are a slew of comings and goings announced for M Street and Wisconsin Avenue.

Georgetown's empty commercial spaces are filling up as retail brokers ink new deals with new businesses from Top Chef-run restaurants to Finnish furniture lines. Monday, Top Chef's Mike Isabella announced that he will be opening a modern Mexican small plates restaurant, Bandolero, right in the heart of Georgetown. Isabella's announcement also means that Hook, which has been closed since a June fire, will not reopen and Bandolero will fill its slot at 3241 M St. Also on M Street, Finnish furniture line Artek will soon make an appearance at M2L in Cady's Alley, according to the Washington Business Journal. Meanwhile, on Wisconsin Avenue, Edible Arrangements is opening a "flagship" location at 1600 Wisconsin Ave. (Wisconsin and Q Street), …
