DC's Department of Transportation is launching Potholepalooza this week.
The District of Columbia has kicked off its month-long effort to prioritze pothole repairs and other road repairs. "Potholepalooza" continues through May 22. The District Department of Transportation promises to make every effort to repair potholes within 48 hours of a residents' request. Residents can track the repairs at www.gis.ddot.dc.gov/potholeapp. Early tweets and messages to DDOT regarding NW DC roads include: the northbound corner of Wisconsin and Reservoir NW and a parking lot entrance near the zoo. The Zoning Commission unanimously supported a continuance from the hearing on the District Department of Transportation report.
The Zoning Commission unanimously supported a continuance on the Georgetown University Campus Plan hearing, scheduled originally for June 20 and now rescheduled for November 17. The continuance came at the request of the applicant, Georgetown University, with support from the District Department of Transportation (DDOT). The hearing Monday would have addressed the supplemental report from DDOT on the transportation impacts of the University's 10-year campus plan. However, in its report dated June 14, DDOT wrote that the data provided by GU was insufficient for the transportation agency to determine the impacts on traffic. The Zoning Commission will hold a final limited scope hearing on the Georgetown University Campus Plan this evening.
The sixth and final night of testimony on the Georgetown Campus Plan will take place this evening as the Zoning Commission holds a limited scope hearing that focuses on the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) supplemental report. At the May 16 hearing, DDOT officials testified that the agency could not support the current Georgetown University Campus Plan application primarily because the transportation information submitted by the university was insufficient. Georgetown followed up, submitting a technical memorandum to DDOT.
