Why Go: Celebrating its 85th year, the Georgetown Garden Tour is a Georgetown tradition. Thanks to the Georgetown Garden Club, visitors have the chance to explore Georgetown's private gardens and hidden landscapes. Price: $35 2. Glover Park-Burleith Farmers' Market Opening Day When/Where: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hardy Middle School parking lot. Why Go: Opening day features a visit from the Lobster Roll Truck, music by Snakehead Run, a free bike clinic, facepainting and more. The Georgetown Garden Tour celebrates its 85th anniversary Saturday as garden lovers and green enthusiasts explore the gardens of Georgetown's historic homes. The event begins at Christ Church, 31st and O Streets NW, where you can purchase tickets and check out the garden boutique's topiaries, fine porcelain vases and unusual gardening tools. Gardens are open for viewing from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday. Participants are also invited to enjoy an afternoon tea served by members of the Georgetown Garden Club between 2 to 4 p.m. at Christ Church. Additionally, ticket-holders can enjoy a docent-led tour of Dumbarton Oaks Park, a National Park Service property below the private Dumbarton Oaks Garden. Tickets are $35 and may be purchased …
