Georgetown Inn Celebrates 50 Years, New Ownership

The Georgetown Inn, 1310 Wisconsin Ave. NW, celebrated 50 years in the neighborhood with a cocktail party Wednesday evening. In November Nayan Patel of Your DC Hotels took over ownership of the boutique hotel, paying a reported $34 million for it. American Mortgage Investment Company president Sheldon Magazine opened the Georgetown Inn opened 1962. The Daily Grill restaurant sit at street level, serving guests and non-guests alike. Patel has plans to renovate the 96-room boutique hotel over the next several years.
