Police Turn to the Internet in Hopes of Cracking a Georgetown Murder Case

Christine Mirzayan was brutally sexually assaulted and murdered in a wooded area off of Canal Road in Georgetown on August 1, 1998.

The D.C Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) will launch a website in the next few weeks that they hope will lead to a resolution in a cold case- the Georgetown murder of Christine Mirzayan in the summer if 1998, according to the Washington Post. Police believe they have now linked Mirzayan's killer with a man who committed eight sexual attacks in nearby Montgomery County between 1991 and 1998. Capt.
