Dumbarton House, Others Open for 'Holidays Through History'

Four historic house museums will be open Saturday for holiday tours.

The Dumbarton House, Tudor Place Historic House and Garden, the Woodrow Wilson House and the Anderson House will all open Dec. 1 for "Holidays through History."  The event, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., allows attendees to "stroll the historic rooms of the mansions, all on the U.S. Register of Historic Places, and see them decked out for holidays from the Federal period through the Roaring Twenties," according to an event press release. Tickets are free for members of the four houses, but registration is required. Others can purchase tickets in advance.  Shuttle service between the four houses is available at no cost, but the route is also walkable. For non-members, four-museum adult tickets are $16 in advance, $20 at the door; children under 18 …
