Police Release Suspect Description from Indecent Exposure Incident

The suspect exposed himself near Stoddert Elementary School in September and was seen again Nov. 14.

Updated Nov. 16 at 12:55 p.m. Police are seeking the public's assistance in tracking down a suspect who exposed himself near Stoddert Elementary School and allegedly claimed to be a pedophile. The incident was first reported on the community listserv in September and the man was seen most recently Nov. 14. According to police in September a Glover Park woman was walking from her home to Stoddert Elementary when a man exposed himself to her and began following her. Indecent Exposure Reported Near Stoddert Elementary

The man reportedly told one parent that he was a registered sex offender and pedophile.

A man was reportedly exposing himself on the sidewalk near Stoddert Elementary School (4001 Calvert St., NW) in Glover Park Wednesday around the time the school day ends. A post on the Glover Park listserv explains the incident: "I want to inform you all of an incident that happened on Monday afternoon near Stoddert Elementary School. Police have been notified. We called 911 and were interviewed by an MPDC officer in-person. However, the individual is at large.  Around 3:05pm, a friend left her apartment building and saw a man standing near 2339 40th Pl NW with his pants completely down.  She crossed to the other side of the street and then onto Calvert St. near the school. Police Respond to Reported Indecent Exposure at Tot Lot

Increased presence planned following Wednesday incident in Rose Park tot lot off of Dumbarton Street, NW.

The Metropolitan Police Department and the Department of Parks and Recreation had extra patrols and park rangers at Rose Park on Thursday following a report of a man exposing himself near the Tot Lot off of Dumbarton Street, NW. The man reportedly exposed himself around 2:30 p.m. at the tot lot off of Dumbarton Street, NW in Rose Park. The police were called and responded just after 2:45 p.m., but were unable to locate the suspect, according an email from Cpt. Melvin Gresham. Police returned and patrolled the tot lot area Thursday afternoon and the Department of Parks and Recreation promised to increase the presence of park rangers, according to an email from David Abrams of the Friends of Rose Park. Man Exposes Himself to Georgetown Students Saturday Morning

The incident happened around 9:15 a.m. near Village A.

Two Georgetown University students reported an indecent exposure incident that occurred around 9:15 a.m. Saturday morning. The students told the Department of Pubic Safety that a man exposed himself on Prospect Street near Village A (west of 37th Street). The students walked away and the man did not make additional contact with them, according to the DPS Safety Alert. According to a DPS alert sent Monday: "The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 6'0" tall, muscular build, wearing a gray T-shirt and blue jeans. The suspect reportedly covered his face with his t-shirt during the incident."
