Police Release Suspect Description from Indecent Exposure Incident

The suspect exposed himself near Stoddert Elementary School in September and was seen again Nov. 14.

Updated Nov. 16 at 12:55 p.m. Police are seeking the public's assistance in tracking down a suspect who exposed himself near Stoddert Elementary School and allegedly claimed to be a pedophile. The incident was first reported on the community listserv in September and the man was seen most recently Nov. 14. According to police in September a Glover Park woman was walking from her home to Stoddert Elementary when a man exposed himself to her and began following her. Indecent Exposure Reported Near Stoddert Elementary

The man reportedly told one parent that he was a registered sex offender and pedophile.

A man was reportedly exposing himself on the sidewalk near Stoddert Elementary School (4001 Calvert St., NW) in Glover Park Wednesday around the time the school day ends. A post on the Glover Park listserv explains the incident: "I want to inform you all of an incident that happened on Monday afternoon near Stoddert Elementary School. Police have been notified. We called 911 and were interviewed by an MPDC officer in-person. However, the individual is at large.  Around 3:05pm, a friend left her apartment building and saw a man standing near 2339 40th Pl NW with his pants completely down.  She crossed to the other side of the street and then onto Calvert St. near the school.
