Looking for a mid-afternoon sweet treat?

Your teens are babysitting for the neighbors on Saturday. Your parents have volunteered to watch the kids while you run errands on Sunday afternoon. Are You Ready for Merriment?

The third annual "Merriment in Georgetown" will take place Dec. 5 between Wisconsin Ave. and M St. with holiday festivities for children and adults alike.

This Sunday, Dec. 5, the third annual " Merriment in Georgetown" will take place between Wisconsin Ave. and M St. from 2 p.m.—5 p.m. There will be an assortment of family activities, including live music, holiday store discounts and dining specials.  Valerie Tripp, author of the American Girl series, will be signing books. Children are invited to bring their favorite dolls to attend the "Dolly and Me" activities tent for arts and crafts and hair braiding.  Throughout the afternoon there will be complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides, photos with Santa, and hot chocolate tastings. There will also be historic games and arts & crafts sponsored by Dumbarton House and Tudor Place.  Musical performances will include Noggin's and PBS Kids' kids…
