Georgetown basketball team will open its season at sea against Florida Nov. 9

The Georgetown University men's basketball team will play the University of Florida at Naval Station Mayport, an aircraft carrier, as part of the Navy-Marine Corps Challenge during the Veteran's Day holiday weekend. Nov. 9 will mark the first game of the season for the Hoyas as they play in Jacksonville, FL. It will be the fifth time the teams meet up, each has won two games against the other previously, according to a press release from Georgetown University.
