Weekend Guide: Concerts in the Park, Taste of Arlington and More

The weekend is here! How are you going to spend it in Georgetown, Arlington and beyond?

1. Georgetown "Rocking the Green" Concert in the Park When/Where: Sunday 5 p.m. in Volta Park. Why Go:  The first of three scheduled Citizens Association of Georgetown summer concert events kicks off this Sunday evening with Georgetown's own Rebecca McCabe and Honky Tonk Confidential in Volta Park. "Concert goers can participate in a park clean-up and planting project, a book swap, bicycle tune-ups and repair provided by the Farmer’s Market Bike Clinic and a BabyLove donation truck accepting gently used baby gear and clothing," according to a press release. Concerts in the Park When/Where: Beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday at Volta Park, 1555 34th St. NW, Washington, D.C.  Why Go: This is the 10th year of Concerts in the Park and the 2012 season promises to be better than ever. Sunday, look for music from Georgetown’s own amazing singer and songwriter, Rebecca McCabe, plus balloons from Georgetown Patch, cupcakes from Sprinkles and much more!
