NWS: Chance for Rain Early in the Week, Sunny Thru Friday

Highs in mid to low-80s, weather service says.

The first week of school for most students in D.C. should be fairly pleasant, weatherwise, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Although Mother Nature threatens to bring a little rain and possible thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday — there's a 20 percent chance on Monday and a 30 percent chance on Tuesday — the rest of the week looks good. Highs Monday and Tuesday are expected to be in the upper 80s. The best weather day this week appears to be Wednesday, with sunny skies and highs in the low 80s, according to the NWS. The weather service predicts sunny to partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid-80s Thursday through Saturday.
