How to Get Temporary Visitor Parking Permits in Georgetown

Have out-of-town guests visiting for several days? Make sure you get them a permit!

Do you have family or friends visiting DC from out of town for the Christmas or New Year's holiday? If they drove, you may want to get them a DC temporary visitor parking permit. Parking officers will not be issuing tickets Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, but they will resume normal enforcement activities Wednesday. For the New Year's holiday officers will not enforce parking Jan. 1. Ward 2 residents can go to the Second District Police station at 3320 Idaho Ave., NW to secure a permit good for up to 15 days. Someone is at the station 24 hours a day, so you can always get a permit.
