The mayor and several council members are under pressure to produce information on money orders related to Jeffrey Thompson.
A growing trail of questionable donations related to Jeffrey Thompson, whose home and offices were raided earlier this month, continues to draw-in elected officials in the Wilson Building, placing them under federal scrutiny. Thompson owns Chartered Health Plan, the city’s single-largest Medicaid contractor. Mayor Vincent Gray personally handled money orders from Jeffrey Thompson, according to the Huffington Post.
