I lived in Washington my entire life. I have had the privilage of running Georgetown Ministry Center for the past 22 years. I have come to know the many wonderful people who live and work here during that time but what is more I have witnessed the evolution of Georgetown from the 60's forward. What an amazing transformation some for the good and yet I miss the good old days of the lunch counter at Peoples Drug store, Menahan's Hardware and even the Silver Dollar on M Street where you could hear Roy Buchanon play for the price of a beer. I think it was 50 cents.
