ReplyWhy is the sidewalk/road outside of Thomas Sweet always icy? There seems to be some sort of a leak somewhere. This is an on-going problem -- I used to run by that store a few years ago but changed my route for fear of slipping. Yesterday, I noticed it's still icy there so clearly the problem has not been solved.

The bigger problem is the cars that rush up 33rd Street without regard for pedestrians and that is a matter for the police. I have seen officers pulling over cars who run that green left turn arrow from M St. so maybe more of that will help.
I am a huge fan of Georgetown Cupcake and have always found the employees to be helpful and friendly -- even when it's 100 degrees outside they're smiling as they hand out those menus!
