ReplyFrom Florida and/or warm-weather places all my life, so I'm still not used to even the relatively mild Virginia winters. If you see someone in a parka, hat, gloves, with their face half covered walking down Clarendon Blvd. taking pictures, there's a good chance that's your local patch editor!

ReplyI'm embarrassed to say that I've still never seen It's a Wonderful Life (maybe this year). One of my favorites is Scrooged, which I think was one of my first exposures to the Christmas Carol story. I remember liking a Disney version of A Christmas Carol with Donald Duck too.

ReplyThanks, glad you enjoy reading these, Melvin. I didn't see a recent inspection for the Whole Foods prepared food area, but inspectors did inspect their new "Arlington Pub" on the second floor on Oct 15. There were four violations, one of them was " Cloths in-use for wiping counters and other equipment surfaces are not held between uses in a chemical sanitizer solution of proper concentration; and/or not laundered daily."
As for Faccia Luna, their latest inspection was on Aug. 21. They were cited for not having a Northern Virginia certified food manager on staff and for storing two foods at the improper temperature.
