Surprise Candidate Spurs Tension At DC Mayoral Debate

DC mayoral candidate Christian Carter made a surprise appearance, and ultimately participated, partway through the Dumbarton House Mayoral debate on Thursday.
Carter was not one of the candidates invited to the event sponsored by the Georgetown Business Association and the Citizens Association of Georgetown.
After a controversial exchange with moderator Davis Kennedy, editor and publisher of The Current Newspapers, Carter was asked debate questions in rotation with all the other candidates.
