A new DSW (aka Designer Shoe Warehouse) shoe store has opened at The Shops at Georgetown Park, 3222 M St. NW. In addition to shoes, the store also carries hats, purses and jewelry.
Plans for the store's opening in Georgetown have been underway for more than a year. Keep up with sales, reward programs and contests on the DSW Facebook page.
The Georgetown location joins two others that opened recently in the District, in Chevy Chase DC and Columbia Heights.
Reuters reported Tuesday that DSW Inc is entering the Canadian footwear retail market by acquiring a 44 percent stake in one of Canada's largest shoes and accessories retailer, Town Shoes Ltd, for C$68 million ($62.05 million).
Store hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. See a listing here of all of the stores located at Georgetown Park.
